I have enjoyed nature and it's beauty for as long as I can remember. Photographing it to share is a new hobby. I still have much to learn. Any helpful hints and constructive criticism is always welcome.

I will try to post new items weekly so check back. It is my pleasure to share nature's gifts with you. I find myself amazed at some of the beauty I find while out for a walk.

Feel free to use any postings for personal use. Uses for monetary gains are strictly prohibited.

"Just living is not enough." said the butterfly. "One must have sunshine, freedom and a little flower."

I go to nature to be soothed and healed, and to have my senses put in order.

I left a stray sunflower grow near my kitchen window. The birds love it, It makes a great place to get close up pictures of birds that tend to fly off when they spot you. These were my favorites.

Finally a Ruby-throated hummingbird has claimed my feeders as her territory. I was able to catch her perching in the pine tree the feeder hangs from.

FYI -- Hummingbirds spend 80% of their time perching.

I caught this Eastern Swallowtail on the same butterfly bush yesterday. The blue on the hind wing marks it as a female. I think the colors of this butterfly are stunning. The purple of the flowers adds the perfect touch to the photo.

A Hummingbird Clearwing Moth in my butterfly bush. These things move so fast, a completely clear photo is tough to get.
